It is owned by the same family as the Chester House Guest House next door. The hotel is situated in Hoole village, which features boutique shops, bars, and award-winning restaurants, and is 1 mile from the heart of the historic Roman city of Chester. Originally built in 1880, the main house retains original Victorian character. Guests can relax in the drawing room or enjoy a drink in the refurbished bar and outside seating terrace. From April 2025, bookings will include access to fine dining, afternoon teas, or simple snacks once the extended dining room and new courtyard are complete. From May 2025, Chester Court and Chester House will offer function facilities for up to 100 guests. Some rooms are located in the outer courtyard, outside the main building; these ground-level rooms allow guests to park close to their front door. A traditional full English breakfast and extended continental options with a large choice of fruits and pastries are offered.
