Dating back over 800 years, the atmospheric Stiftung Kartause Ittingen is a former Charterhouse monastery located in Warth. This unique place features a labyrinth garden, a private dairy, and a restaurant. Kartause Ittingen’s extensive grounds also contain the dairy that produces 6 different types of cheese, yoghurt, butter, and cream. All of these can be tasted in the modern restaurant located within the historic walls. The monastery also produces its own wine. The modern rooms retain the monastic sense of simplicity and feature a bathroom, a TV, and free wired internet. Many of them also offer a balcony overlooking the private park. The Art Museum of the Canton of Thurgau and the Ittinger Museum are both located in the same building. Guests can go hiking and jogging in the large gardens and parks.
