Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu, a 70-year-old establishment in the Asakusa area, offers a Hinoki wood bath with views of the Tokyo Skytree. The ryokan features separate gender-specific baths, both of which provide a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. Located a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station, the ryokan is close to Nakamise-dori Street and Senso-ji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station offers direct connections to Ueno, Shibuya, and Ginza, as well as Narita and Haneda international airports. Accommodation options include Japanese-style rooms and Western single rooms. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a satellite TV, a refrigerator, and an en suite bathroom. Amenities provided in each room are hairdryers, yukata robes, tea sets, and mineral water. The street in front of the hotel is pedestrianized during the day and situated in a tranquil locale. Please note that due to ongoing construction of a seven-story building to the north of the hotel, the views of Sensoji Temple and the five-story pagoda from some north-facing rooms, available for the past 30 years, will be obstructed until autumn 2026. However, Sensoji Temple and the five-story pagoda remain a short five-minute walk away.
